“I believe in Elche, I believe in Elche, and that’s why I’m here. I will defend my green stripe with hope,” Carmona said.
Jose Angel Carmona received youth training in Seville since he was a child, and was promoted to the club’s first team in 2020. His career debut took place on March 13, 2022, in the 28th round of La Liga against Vallecano.

The contact between Elche and Carmona began in January this year. The player gradually lost his main position under Sampaoli’s coaching, which further strengthened his willingness to leave the team.

The introduction of Carmona from Sevilla, Elche’s move aims to strengthen the defense on the right. Elche has not tasted a victory so far, ranking last with a record of 4 draws, 11 losses and 4 points. They are also the only La Liga team to concede more than 30 goals (34) this season.
