Paris Saint-Germain have announced the extension of Marco Verratti‘s contract ahead of Wednesday’s match against Struxburg.
Verratti is 30 years old and still has a one-and-a-half-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain to be fulfilled. This extension for another 2 years means that Verratti will stay in Paris until June 30, 2026, when he will be 34 years old.

Verratti has played for Paris Saint-Germain since 2012 and has played a total of 399 times in more than 10 years. As a central midfielder, he has scored 11 goals and provided 61 assists for Paris Saint-Germain so far.
The Italian is also the player with the most championships in the Paris team: 8 Ligue 1 titles, 6 French Cup titles, 6 French League Cup titles and 9 French Super Cup titles.

Verratti declared in an official statement that he was proud of gaining the trust of Paris Saint-Germain: “Paris Saint-Germain’s renewal makes me very proud. More than 10 years ago, I came to Paris and came to what I regard as The city of my adopted home. From the time I started playing for PSG, I have always had a lot of support from the club and the fans, for which I am very grateful.”
