Inter advance to Coppa Italia quarter-finals

Inter Milan beat Serie B side Parma 2-1 in extra time in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia round of 16 tie to come back from a goal behind and Simone Inzaghi ‘s side set out to defend them trophy.

Parma stunned the San Siro a few minutes before half-time when substitute midfielder Jurić fired a superb shot from distance into the top right corner of goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Inter won the trophy after beating Juventus 4-2 after extra time in May last year , when Inter controlled possession but it wasn’t until striker Lautaro Martinez equalized in the 88th minute. Neither Inter Milan shot on target.
