The 2022 BWF Super 750 French Open is over. China came out as the overall champion after bringing home two crown titles. The Malaysian women’s doubles and the Indian men’s doubles made history and brought home their initial Super 750 title. Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles sector, the Chinese brace Zheng Siwei/ Huang Yaqiong was again impregnable.

The Indian brace, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/ Chirag Shetty gave a surprise at the 2022 French Open. In the final against the Taiwanese brace, Lu Ching Yao/ Yang Po Han, they won two straight games. Videlicet, with a score of 21- 13, 21- 19 over the Taiwanese brace. This result assured Rankireddy/ Shetty won their first Super 750 title at the French Open 2022.

Malaysian women’s doubles, Pearly Tan/ Thinaah Muralitharan also won the title. In the final of the French Open 2022, Tan/ Thinaah defeated the fourth seed from Japan, Mayu Matsumoto/ Wakana Nagahara. Tan/ Thinaah locked the palm in the rubber game, 21- 19, 18- 21, 21- 15. This Super 750 title is their first title.

While the Chinese mixed doubles, Zheng Siwei/ Huang Yaqiong, are still unbeaten. Due to the Dutch representative, Robin Tableing/ Selena Piek, the Siwei/ Yaqiong brace won the rubber game, 21- 16, 14- 21, 22- 20.

Just like Malaysia, Denmark also brought home one title from the French Open 2022, videlicet through the men’s mates Viktor Axelsen. Axelsen contributed the title for Denmark after winning two games. In the event he fought Rasmus Gemke and won with a score of 21- 14, 21- 15.
