Pratama Arhan, the left back of the Indonesian national team, is one of 11 players who are included in the list of rising stars or Asian stars. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced the release of 11 players expected to excel in 2023.
The official AFC website released an announcement on the list of young Asian players on Monday (1/1/2023). Which includes eleven players who have not reached the age of 23 years. AFC identified Pratama Arhan as one of the promising and standout young players in 2018.
“In Asian football, the left-back position is stacked with young, promising players. And Pratama Arhan, who comes from Indonesia, is another example of a young man on the rise,” wrote the content on the AFC’s official website.
The 2020 AFF Cup competition which took place a year earlier brought out Arhan’s best performance. Where Indonesia is finally in second place. Arhan was able to take first place as the tournament’s Best Young Player.
Pratama Arhan to Garang Kuol
Tokyo Verdy, a team that plays in the second division of the Japanese League, signed the PSIS Semarang player early last year. However, until now Arhan has had difficulties getting into the Tokyo Verdy main team. However, Arhan remains the first choice for the Indonesian national team in the 2022 AFF Cup.
According to the AFC, “Arhan is without a doubt one of the most exciting talents in Indonesian football at the moment.”
Pratama Arhan appeared with Zidane Iqbal, included in the list of 11 rising stars of the AFC. Pratama Arhan is from the same country. The young man who was born in Manchester but has Pakistani and Iraqi ancestry has just made his first appearance with the Red Devils first team. Iqbal made a historic record in his first match. In particular, he holds the distinction of being the first Englishman of South Asian descent to play for Manchester United.
Although born in England, Zidane Iqbal made the decision to play for the Iraqi national team. The 19-year-old midfielder has twice defended his country in international competition. Garang Kuol, a young player who plays as a wing for the Australian national team. He is one of 11 promising young Asian players for 2023.
At the age of 18, Kuol was selected to represent Australia at the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar. In addition, this is the first time this young man born in Egypt participated in the competition.
During the 2022 World Cup, Kuol participated as a substitute in two different matches. Additionally, in January 2023, he will sign for Newcastle United.
